This element is often rendered in bold text to indicate that the text is critical.

Some other common inline elements:
- `<abbr>` indicates that the text it contains is an abbreviation or acronym;
- `<code>` indicates that the text it contains is a code example or programming language keyword;

Each of these elements can be used inline within a block of text to add meaning or formatting to specific words or phrases.

In this course, participants will learn the basics of HTML, what HTML is and how it is used to create web pages, the structure of an HTML document and the various tags used to define the content and layout of a web page, how to use HTML tags to structure and format content, such as headings, paragraphs, lists, tables, and more, how to create links, add images and videos, and create forms for user input. 

The main goal of HTML is to make webpages traversable like a tree where every piece of content is wrapped in its meaningful container. 

Now that we have gone over the basic understanding of HTML documents, the mandatory structure they should have, and how tags and attributes work. We will move on to some important elements used in a typical HTML page.

By the end of this section, participants will have a solid understanding of these HTML concepts and be able to apply them to create well-structured and formatted web pages.

So now that we have a good grip on most of the basic topics of HTML along with familiarity with basic text elements, now, we will move on to somewhat advanced topics which cover things necessary for developing any starter web page, be it a portfolio or a full-fledged e-commerce store.
