What Is an AI Planning System?

Stryg for at vise menuen

You already use AI to answer questions. This course is about something bigger – using AI as a planning system for your actual life.

A planning system is not a chatbot you ping when you're bored. It's a small set of habits where AI reads your context (notes, calendar, budget, inbox) and helps you decide what to do next.

The Three Jobs

A planning system does three things for you:

JobWhat It Looks Like
SeeAI reads your week, budget, or notes and tells you what's actually there
DecideAI helps you weigh a choice – buy or wait, accept or decline, do it now or later
ActAI drafts the message, the plan, the calendar block – you approve and send

Most people use AI only for the third job. That's like hiring a chef and only letting them plate the food. The real value is in seeing clearly and deciding well.

What You'll Build

By the end of this course you'll have hands-on practice with:

  • Reading your own notes and calendar through AI;
  • Analyzing a budget without opening a spreadsheet formula;
  • Making spending and scheduling decisions out loud, with a second brain;
  • Drafting messages for situations that actually matter.

You won't need to code. You'll need to be specific about what you want.

The One Rule

AI is good at structure, bad at knowing your life. Every lab in this course gives the AI a piece of your context – a note, a budget row, a calendar – because AI without context is just opinions.
