bookInstallation Methods

As Tailwind CSS is a framework, it doesn't appear out of nowhere. We need to install it in our app. We will explore two fast ways to add Tailwind to your project.

1. Using CDN

If you work with vanilla HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, you can use the CDN link of Tailwind, simply inserting it in the head element of the HTML document.

This method is ideal for small projects and quick prototyping.

2. Using npm/yarn

If you are dealing with something more complex and using npm/yarn to manage dependencies, then your choice is installing via npm/yarn.

Note

No matter your chosen method, the Tailwind functionality will remain the same.

Alternatives

Tailwind CSS documentation provides a guide to installing Tailwind with any modern web development library, framework, or tool. Following the documentation will lead you to a successful result.
