Monitoring social media conversations is essential for staying on top of your mentions, comments, and brand engagement. Hootsuite makes it easy to track interactions across multiple platforms in one place. Let's examine how to set up and manage streams to monitor your social presence efficiently.
Setting up your streams
- Go to streams: from the Hootsuite dashboard, click More → Streams to open the stream boards;
- Create a new board: click New Board and select Monitor My Own Content;
- Choose social networks: select the social networks you want to monitor, such as Facebook, and choose specific accounts if applicable;
- Name your board: click to rename the board for easy identification (e.g., Facebook Mentions).
Adding specific streams
- Click Add Stream and choose Mentions to track direct mentions of your brand;
- Add additional streams such as Timeline to view recent posts and updates;
- Customize the stream order by dragging and pinning priority streams to the top.
Refreshing and managing streams
- If the stream data appears outdated, click Refresh to get the latest updates;
