Balance is crucial in creating a harmonious website. Visual balance ensures that elements are evenly distributed, making the design stable and pleasing to the eye. There are three types of balance:

• Symmetrical Balance: Equal distribution of elements on either side of a central axis;
• Asymmetrical Balance: Unequal distribution, creating balance through contrast and scale;
• Radial Balance: Elements radiate from a central point.

Symmetrical balance creates a formal and organized look, which can be calming and predictable. Asymmetrical balance, while more dynamic, requires careful planning to ensure the elements still feel balanced. Radial balance can be used for more eye-catching and unique designs, often seen in logos or focal points.

Example Website: Apple is a great example of symmetrical balance. The elements are almost a mirror reflection along the center axis. This provides a clean, elegant, and innovative look.

Example Website: The Museam of Modern Art of MOMA for short, is a great example of asymmetrical balance. The elements look almost scattered, similarly to how an artist creates. This provides a unique, novel and modern look.

Example Website: Vlog.it is a great example of how to use radial balance. The website’s animations and interactivity embrace the idea of starting from the center. This provides a means for the website to convey it's brand message.
