Removing elements from the DOM is a fundamental skill in dynamic web development. There are two main approaches to remove elements using JavaScript: the traditional removeChild method and the more modern element.remove method.

The removeChild method requires you to access the parent of the element you want to remove, then call removeChild on the parent, passing in the child element. This approach works in all modern browsers and is especially useful when you already have a reference to both the parent and child elements.

In contrast, the element.remove method allows you to call remove directly on the element you wish to remove, making the code simpler and more readable. However, element.remove is not supported in some very old browsers.

Both methods will immediately remove the element from the DOM, and any references to that element in JavaScript will remain, but the element will no longer appear on the page.
