Color Legibility and Harmony

Legibility is how easily text or visuals can be read or understood. Lighting, background, size, and contrast all affect how readable something is. Designers use contrast to grab attention and harmony to create smooth visuals. Complementary colors can create contrast, but too much can be harsh. Analogous colors offer natural harmony.
You can always check your contrast online to make sure your text is readable, and Adobe offers such a thing. Here's a link to their contrast checker.
