Challenge: Set Up Hootsuite and Connect Accounts

You are ready to put your new knowledge to the test with a hands-on challenge. In this task, you'll set up your Hootsuite account, connect at least two social media profiles, and customize your notification preferences.

Step 1: Create Your Hootsuite Account

1. Go to hootsuite.com and click Sign Up or Log In if you already have an account;
2. Follow the prompts to complete your registration;
3. Choose your plan (you can start with the free version).

Step 2: Connect Your Social Media Accounts

1. Click on your Profile Icon at the bottom left of the dashboard;
2. Go to Social Networks & Teams and select Add a Social Network;
3. Choose the platform (like Facebook or Instagram) and log in with your credentials;
4. Grant Hootsuite the necessary permissions to manage your account;
5. Repeat the process to add a second social media profile.

Step 3: Configure Your Notification Preferences

1. Go to Settings → Notifications;
2. Enable notifications for mentions, comments, and messages;
3. Adjust settings for email or mobile alerts according to your preference.

Step 4: Test Your Setup

1. Post a test message from Hootsuite to ensure your accounts are correctly linked;
2. Check your notifications to make sure they are working as intended.
