Uploading and Managing Media Content

Steps

1. Uploading Media: from your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Files. This is where you can upload images, videos, PDFs, and other media. Click Upload Files to add new content;
2. Organizing Media Files: group your images and files by category (e.g., product images, marketing banners, etc.) for easy access later. You can use specific file names to help with organization, especially if your store has a lot of visual content;
3. Using Media on Pages: to use the media you've uploaded, simply navigate to any page or product, and select Insert Image/Video in the text editor. You can also drag and drop media from your desktop directly into the editor;
4. Storing Media Efficiently: shopify automatically compresses images, so your site loads faster without sacrificing quality. However, make sure that the images are appropriately sized before uploading to reduce unnecessary loading times.
