When working with Fabric.js, you gain access to powerful features for interacting with canvas objects. One of the most essential capabilities is object selection. When you click on a shape or object on the canvas, Fabric.js highlights it and makes it the active object. This active object can then be moved, resized, or even rotated using the built-in controls that appear around its edges.

The process of selecting and manipulating objects is intuitive. Clicking on an object sets it as active, while clicking elsewhere clears the selection. Once an object is selected, you can drag it to a new position by clicking and holding inside the object, then moving your mouse. Fabric.js also provides resize handles at the corners and sides of the selected object, allowing you to change its size directly with your mouse.

This interactivity is built into Fabric.js, so you do not need to write custom code for basic selection, dragging, or resizing behavior. These features are especially useful when creating interactive applications such as drawing tools, editors, or games, where users need to manipulate objects visually on the canvas.
