Setting Up Your Shopify Navigation

A well-organized navigation system is key to creating a user-friendly shopping experience. In this chapter, you'll learn how to set up and manage the main and footer navigation menus in Shopify.

Steps

1. Accessing the Navigation Section: go to Online Store > Navigation in your Shopify admin dashboard. You'll see two key menus: the Main Menu (at the top of your store) and the Footer Menu (at the bottom);
2. Editing the Main Menu: click Main Menu to add, remove, or rearrange links to important pages like your Home, About, or Contact pages. Click Add Menu Item to include new links to collections or products;
3. Customizing the Footer Menu: the Footer is ideal for linking to quick links, policy pages, FAQs, or social media profiles. Add useful resources here to make them easily accessible to visitors;
4. Previewing Your Menus: once your menus are set, go to your store's front end and test the navigation to ensure it's intuitive and easy to use. We want the customers to find key areas of the site quickly!
