bookDownload and install Unreal Engine

Once you have installed the Epic Games Launcher, open it and on the left-hand side menu, click on Unreal Engine tab. Once you are in the Unreal Engine tab, click on the Library tab on the top of the page.

This is where you will see the project that you will create later on in the course, your personal collection of assets (we will talk about this more later on in the course), and can install various versions of Unreal Engine. To install Unreal Engine, click on the plus sign + in front of Engine Versions.

This will create a card where you can choose the engine version that you want. To choose the version that you want, simply click on the drop-down arrow and choose the version that you want (we will use the version 5.3.2 in this course, but 5.4 works just as well) and click on the Install button.

If this is the first time you install Unreal Engine, you will be shown the End User License Agreement. Check the box and click on the Accept button.

Next you will be able to choose a place to install the engine on your computer, and have the option to install various modules by clicking on Options this is not necessary for this course, so you can simply click on the Install button to go ahead and install Unreal Engine on your computer.
