What Is Web Development?

Web development is the process of building websites and applications that run inside a browser. Some websites are simple informational pages, while others are fully interactive applications like online stores, social media platforms, dashboards, streaming services, and AI tools.

Frontend developers focus on building the visual and interactive parts users see and interact with directly.

Core Frontend Technologies

Modern frontend development is built around several core technologies.

• HTML: structures webpage content. It defines things like text, images, buttons, forms, navigation, and page sections. You can think of HTML as the foundation or skeleton of a webpage;
• CSS: controls how webpages look. It is responsible for colors, spacing, layouts, responsiveness, animations, and overall visual presentation;
• JavaScript: adds interactivity and application logic. It allows webpages to respond to user actions, update content dynamically, fetch data from APIs, and create interactive experiences;
• Svelte: is a modern frontend framework used to build fast and reactive user interfaces. It helps developers organize applications into reusable components while simplifying many common frontend development tasks.
