Identifying Fake News

IntroductionIntroduction

Fake news is a term used to describe false or misleading information presented as real news. This type of information often spreads through social media and other online platforms and can have serious consequences for individuals and society.

Fake news can range from simple factual errors to complex, fabricated stories designed to manipulate public opinion or gain financial or political advantages. That is why it is crucial for individuals to identify fake news and verify information before sharing it.

You can understand the importance of being able to identify fake news. For example, one of Elon Musk’s first actions as chairman of Twitter was to remove hundreds of thousands of bot accounts that were spreading fake news constantly.

With that in mind, let’s dive deeper into our project! We will use two datasets with labeled news (Fake or True).
