Prepare for Meetings with Claude

Meetings fail for two reasons: bad prep or bad follow-up. Claude is genuinely useful on both sides. A short conversation with Claude before and after a meeting can make a real difference to how much you actually get done in the time you spend with colleagues or clients.

Sarah's Monday Standup

Sarah runs a weekly ops standup at Mitchell Stone Partners. Thirty minutes, eight people, mix of in-office and remote. She's got rough notes in her notebook - things aren't fully spelled out, capitalisation is everywhere, it's not pretty.

She drops the notes into Claude:

Note
Prompt

I'm running our weekly ops standup at Mitchell Stone Partners - 30 minutes, eight people. Here are the topics I want to cover. Turn this into a clean agenda with time slots, and flag anything where we should make a decision vs. just share an update.

Out comes a clean, well-structured agenda. Time-boxed sections. Decision items clearly marked vs. updates. Claude also notes that time is tight given everything on the list, and suggests sending the agenda round in advance so people come prepared with their client review statuses.

She can share that with the team by email, or just use it as a guide as she kicks off the call.

question mark

Besides creating a meeting agenda, what additional value did Claude provide in Sarah's standup example?
