Charts help you present data in a clear and visual way. Instead of working with numbers, you show trends and comparisons that are easy to understand.

In this chapter, you create charts from both raw data and PivotTables.

Create a Chart from Raw Data
expand arrow

Start with your main table that contains dates and revenue.

Ask Copilot to choose the best chart type and build it for you. For time-based data, it will typically create a line chart.

Copilot places the chart on a new sheet and organizes the data automatically.

Create a Chart from a PivotTable

Next, use your PivotTable to create a summary chart.

Ask Copilot to build a chart based on the PivotTable and place it next to it. A column chart works well for comparing categories or groups.

Because the chart is connected to the PivotTable, it updates when filters or slicers change.

Format the Chart
expand arrow

You can ask Copilot to apply basic formatting, such as updating the title, removing the legend, or adding data labels.

After that, adjust any details manually to match your needs.
