Build the Master Ledger Engine

In this chapter, you combine your two data sources into one dynamic table.
The Master Ledger becomes the central source for everything in the template. Reports, charts, and summaries all pull from this sheet.
Use Copilot to create a new sheet called Master Ledger and combine data from UpworkTransactions and ManualExpenses.
Be explicit about the column structure, mapping rules, and sorting order. In reusable templates, Copilot should not have to guess.
Define each output column clearly and make sure both source tables follow the same structure inside the new table.
Set rules for how the data should behave.
Manual expenses should appear as negative amounts. Revenue and expense categories should be assigned automatically. Rows such as Withdrawal should be excluded.
Also make sure the table is sorted by date so the newest entries appear first.
Once the Master Ledger is in place, the template becomes much more powerful.
When you paste in a new CSV or update the Manual Expenses sheet, the Master Ledger updates automatically. You do not need to rebuild formulas or combine tables again.
