Creating And Managing Subtitles
- Open the essential sound panel and categorize audio clips as dialogue;
- Select all voice-over clips using the track selection forward tool;
- Ensure all dialogue clips are tagged correctly before generating subtitles;
- Open the text panel and navigate to the captions tab;
- Click "create captions from transcript" to generate automatic captions;
- Set the language and ensure "audio clips tagged as dialogue" is selected;
- Click "transcribe" and wait for the captions to be generated;
- Edit captions directly in the text panel for accuracy;
- Adjust captions on the timeline by trimming, stretching, or deleting;
- Add new captions manually by clicking the plus button in the text panel.
Styling Captions
- Select any caption clip and open the properties panel;
- Change the font to "Roboto Light Italic" for a stylish appearance;
- Remove unnecessary shadows to improve readability;
- Decrease the font size for a compact look;
- Apply changes to all captions by creating a track style;
- Save the style and apply it to ensure consistency.
Final Adjustments
- Rewatch the sequence and correct any mistakes;
- Ensure that captions do not overlap with graphic templates;
- Position text carefully to avoid covering important visuals;
- Preview the final result to confirm subtitle accuracy and readability.
