Short-Form Video Editing Essentials with Adobe Premiere Pro

Proxy

Swipe to show menu

In this chapter we'll take a look at the process of creating and linking proxies.

Note
Definition

A proxy in Premiere Pro is a lower-resolution copy of an original high-resolution video file, designed to improve editing performance. These proxy files replace the original media during the editing process but are automatically swapped back for the full-quality files when exporting the final video.
