You now have a working app. This chapter is about understanding what Claude Code actually built so you are not just staring at a folder full of mystery files.

The honest truth

Even experienced developers do not memorise every file in a project. What they know is how to find out what anything does. Claude Code built this entire project and understands everything it created. That makes it the best possible guide to your own codebase.

How a project is structured

Think of your project folder like a building. Each room has a purpose.

Note
Note

You do not need to memorise this. You just need to know it exists.

Your move whenever something is unclear

Open the Claude Code chat and ask. Something like:

"Explain the components folder to me like I have no coding experience."

Claude will give you a plain English answer every time. This is one of the most useful habits you can build. When something looks unfamiliar, ask. Do not guess. You have an expert sitting right there who built the whole thing and can explain any part of it on demand.

question mark

What is the main benefit of asking Claude Code about parts of your project?

Everything was clear?

How can we improve it?
