Role Description This is a full\-time, on\-site Founding Software Engineer role in New York, NY. As our first full\-time engineering hire, you'll help define the architecture, product, and engineering culture from day one, with real ownership over technical direction. You'll design and maintain the back\-end services and APIs that power our AI\-native brokerage platform. Implementing features, making foundational architectural decisions, and collaborating with product, data, and operations teams. Compensation is $130k–$190k cash plus 1–3% equity, depending on experience.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
- Proficiency in Programming and Object\-Oriented Programming (OOP), with experience in at least one modern language (e.g., Python, Java, C\#, Go, or similar).
- Hands\-on experience in Software Development and Back\-End Web Development, including building and maintaining APIs and services.
- Experience working with databases (SQL or NoSQL), version control systems, and modern development practices (testing, CI/CD).
- Ability to analyze requirements, break down complex problems, and deliver robust, scalable solutions.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross\-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
