Greenlight is seeking a Software Engineer II, Frontend to join its Web Platform and Family Hub team. This role is ideal for a frontend engineer with strong web development experience, particularly with Next.js, who is interested in contributing across the software development lifecycle—from application design and development through deployment and operational phases.

The position reports to the Director of Engineering and offers an opportunity to help shape the technical direction of Greenlight's web platform.

\#\#\# Key Responsibilities

\* Lead the design and implementation of high\-quality web experiences.

\* Translate mobile product features into engaging web experiences with a strong focus on user experience.

\* Contribute to the technical strategy and long\-term vision for the web platform.

\* Define engineering standards, development practices, and technical best practices.

\* Mentor engineers and contribute to the growth of the engineering team.

\* Manage technical debt and champion code quality.

\* Lead architectural improvements and the ongoing evolution of the web platform.

\* Participate in deployment and operational phases of the software development lifecycle.

\* Collaborate with cross\-functional and engineering teams to deliver reliable web applications.

\* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

\* 3\+ years of professional software development experience.

\* Demonstrated experience providing technical leadership.

\* Strong expertise with React and Next.js or comparable modern frontend frameworks.

\* Experience with modern build tools.

\* Experience with automated testing and CI/CD practices.

\* Strong understanding of web application design and development.

Greenlight uses a market\-based approach to compensation, with pay varying based on location, experience, and skill set. Total compensation may include a discretionary performance bonus, equity rewards, medical benefits, 401(k) matching, and other benefits.

Estimated base pay ranges:

\* New York, California, and Washington: $122,000–$170,000 per year

\* Colorado: $122,000–$145,000 per year
