We are seeking a skilled
Cinematic Layout Artist
to join our dynamic game cinematics team. This role will support the creation of compelling AAA pre\-rendered and in\-game cinematics. You will
work closely with the Layout Supervisor and cross\-functional teams to bring stories to life through exceptional camera work and visual storytelling.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the
Layout
Supervisor and production team to bring creative visions to life.
Create high\-quality layout sequences from scripts, storyboards, and existing assets; collaborating closely with the Layout Supervisor and creative teams

Implement and maintain cinematic scenes within Maya / Unreal Engine

Design and implement dynamic camera sequences that enhance storytelling and emotional impact

Set up and refine technical camera parameters, including depth of field, focal length, and composition, etc

Process and stage motion capture data for integration into animation sequences, placing 3D characters, sets, and props within the virtual scene to ensure correct scale, depth, and spatial continuity between shots

Operate virtual cameras and create camera tracks for cinematic sequences

Ensure smooth transitions between cinematics and gameplay

Maintain scene quality through regular updates and issue tracking

Collaborate with animation, art, design, and narrative teams to achieve cohesive visual storytelling

Optimize performance for various platforms, ensuring smooth real\-time experiences

Implement feedback and follow creative direction to enhance the cinematic experience

Stay current on industry trends and continuously push the technical and creative boundaries of what’s possible
Requirements:

Minimum 3\-5 years experience working on shipped AAA game titles required (additional film/animation industry experience is valued), with a strong portfolio showcasing camera layout work, previsualization, and animation sequences

Minimum of 1 shipped title with an established game studio

Expert understanding of cinematography principles including shot composition, framing, camera movement, depth of field, lens selection, and visual storytelling

Advanced proficiency in Unreal Engine, Maya, and MotionBuilder

Demonstrated experience with virtual camera systems and motion capture data integration

Strong understanding of actor blocking, performance staging, and scene composition

Proven ability to execute and maintain high\-quality cinematic sequences from concept to final implementation

Experience with editing principles, visual continuity, and seamless gameplay integration

Strong problem\-solving abilities and technical troubleshooting skills

Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work effectively across multiple disciplines

Detail\-oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to adapt to changing project requirements and deadlines
Salary:
$70,000–$110,000 per year. Range depends on experience, education, and qualifications.

Contract:
Initial 3–4 week contract, with a strong likelihood of extension for up to one year based on project needs, performance, and business requirements.
